SA Fillies Classic

The Group 3 SA Fillies Classic is one of the most popular fillies-only races to take place in South Australia. Held at the picturesque Morphettville Racecourse, the SA Fillies Classic always attracts some of the best three-year-old fillies around.

Known as the South Australian Oaks until 2009, the SA Fillies Classic was run for the first time as a Principal Race in 1951. In 1979 it was converted to a Group 1 race, and was then downgraded to a Group 2 race in 2005. From 2007 onwards, the SA Fillies Classic has been run as a Group 3 race.

Run over 2500m, the SA Fillies Classic is worth $115,000 in prize money.

The 2016 SA Fillies Classic will take place on May 21st.
