I Am A Star savaged the line for second at Group 1 level a fortnight ago and is subsequently a $3.10 favourite in 2016 Moonee Valley Fillies’ Classic betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

I Am A Star immediately stamped herself as a filly to follow upon debuting to racing in late autumn, and capped her three start preparation with a maiden black type win in the Group 3 National Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 21st.

Resuming this time for a classy win in the Group 3 Quezette Stakes (1100m), the daughter of I Am Invincible placed fifth in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) and fourth in the Group 2 Tranquil Star Stakes (1400m) before placing a close second in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) last time out.

Steven King will look to continue his impressive affiliation with I Am A Star, who will jump from the ideal barrier 2 in the Moonee Valley Fillies Classic.

Sezanne stamped her class when she ran on for third in the Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on October 1st and remains an outright $3.90 second-favourite in Moonee Valley Fillies Classic betting markets.

Sezanne has travelled through the grades extremely well this season; returning for a pair of strong wins in two Canterbury minors over 1250m and 1200m respectively in August.

Having made a commendable transition to black type company with a credible fourth in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m), the More Than Ready filly will undoubtedly require luck in running from barrier 15 but will be partnered by Hugh Bowman on Saturday.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner currently available at 2016 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic odds of less than $10, Exocet ($9.50) could very well receive the run of the race on Saturday from the ideal barrier 5, particularly with Dwayne Dunn in the saddle.

Winning each of the Ryans Torquay Maiden (1300m) and Lasalian Plate (1400m) through September, the Smart Missile filly ran a credible eighth in the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) last time out on October 2nd and is a leading chance of a first three finish on Saturday.
