Moonee Valley Fillies Classic
The Moonee Valley Fillies Classic is a thrilling Group 2 race thoroughbred race conducted at Melbourne’s beautiful Moonee Valley racecourse.
It is the headline event of the meeting, conducted on a Friday night in late February every year as part of Moonee Valley’s exciting night racing programme. Up until 2010, the Moonee Valley Fillies Classic was originally run on a Saturday in mid January.

The 2013 Fillies Classic at Moonee Valley will be run on Friday 4th March 2013.
The Fillies Classic is open to three-year-old fillies only and is run under set weight conditions, where all runners carry 57kg.
It is a prestigious middle distance gallop run over 1600m and is worth a lucrative $200, 000. The Fillies Classic was originally run over the slightly shorter 1500m distance but was increased in 2010 to 1600m.
